Killington Real Estate Sales - March 2013

The market recovered some in March, as it does most years, with a total of 8 real estate sales in Killington. Of the 8 sales, 4 were full-ownership condos, 2 were interval units and two were fairly high-end single-family homes.

The median home sale price slipped a bit in March, falling to $129,000. Here is a link to the detailed views of the sold properties:

Killington Real Estate Sales - February 2013

2013 kicked off exactly like 2012, with 7 sales in January and just 3 sales in February, comprised of a house on Roaring Brook Road and two condos, a Sunrise 2BR and a Pinnacle 3BR.

2012 Killington Real Estate Sales Summary

Total Number of Sales: 105 (up 9% from 2011)

Total Single Family Homes: 26 (up 73% from 2011) Median Price $219,500 (down 24% from 2011)

Total Multi-Family Homes: 3 (same as 2011) Median Price $280,000 (up 61% from 2011)

Total Full Ownership Condos: 58 (up 13% from 2011) Median Price $146,500 (down 14% from 2011)

Total Interval Ownership Condos: 10 (down 50% from 2011) Median Price $29,500 (down 2% from 2011)

Total Land Sales: 6 (20% increase from 2011) Median Price $74,500 (down 45% from 2011)

Killington Real Estate Sales - January 2013

January was an odd month for real estate sales in the resort community, with jus 7 total sales, all condos, six of which were time-shares. The full ownership condo was a 1BR at Highridge, which sold for $110K. The rest were quarter-share properties at the Killington Grand Hotel.

This odd dynamic resulted in a plunge in the median home sales price to just $32,000, the lowest since this blog has been publishing data. Click the link below to see the January 2013 sales in Killington.

Killington Real Estate Sales - December 2012

Real estate took a holiday in December, dropping to just 6 sales in all of Killington. The six sales were comprised of three homes and three condos. The homes included a no-frills contemporary from the 1980s which sold for $159K, a log cabin for $248,150 and a spectacular new townhouse at The Vistas, which sold for $1,050,000. The condos included a 1BR Mountain Green ground floor unit which sold for an astonishing $30,000, a 3BR Mountain Green at $115,000 and a Glazebrook 3BR end unit townhouse for $243,000.
